Lego AU

This Quinlan will be coming in from the Clone Wars era, though the Clone Wars through a Lego filter (youtube link for a trailer for The Yoda Chronicles). He will be his usual self, with the crack turned up to Lego. He will also be about 3" tall and seemingly made of plastic. All his Force powers are still in effect, size matters not!

comments

Mateabo's Menagerie

[OOC: The idea of Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luminara Unduli, and Quinlan Vos being padawans and friends together comes from the collective awesome of Tumblr users bedlambard and kablob17, which is just too fun an idea not to play with.]

Jedi rarely had free days and padawans even less so, which was why Quinlan knew he had to seize this day before some other jedi realized his master was off world. Quinlan also knew he had to rescue his two friends from themselves, for he just knew Obi-Wan would likely waste the day reading while Luminara would find some chore—if she hadn’t already—and likely before any senior jedi even told her to do so.

Besides, there was a menagerie setting up not 10 kilometers from the Temple and Quinlan would be a Hutt if he was going to miss it.

He went in search of Luminara first, figuring she’d be the hardest to convince and if he failed, he would have Obi-Wan on hand soon enough to make the better argument.

Quinlan found her at the practice grounds, as he had expected. She was working on her saber forms and so he sat to watch. As always, her skill was a joy to witness as she flowed from one form to another, often seamlessly enough Quinlan missed the shift.

As amazing as her skills were however, it was her precision that astounded the young kiffar. He was certain she had been practicing for sometime, likely since the first meal bell, and yet the footsteps in the loose dirt at her feet almost seemed as if this were her first. This was nothing new, of course. Quinlan often joked with Obi-Wan that even the pleats on Luminara’s dress returned to the same place at the end of a form as they had been at the start.

“Are you here to learn, Quinlan, or are you just admiring?” Luminara said then, interrupting his thoughts. Her form completed, she stood and patiently waited for her friend to speak.

“I was actually waiting for you to finish and got lost in the moment.”

“A weakness you must learn to overcome, my friend.”

Rolling his eyes at her gentle rebuke, Quinlan stood and stepped forward. “I have a unique opportunity for you. A chance for you to study animals you likely have never seen and only read about.”

Luminara merely arched one elegant eyebrow.

“Seriously,” Quinlan replied a bit defensively. “There is a menagerie in town, one that claims to have creatures from many different systems. They have set up at a nearby park, one close enough that we won’t violate Temple protocols. What do you say?”

“I admire your attempt at appealing to my inquisitive nature,” Luminara answered, tonelessly enough that Quinlan was sure he’d have to go and get Obi-Wan to convince her.

“Well, can’t blame me for trying. I’ll let you get back to your exercises.”

“So that you may return with Obi-Wan? Why don’t we save all ourselves some time and let us both go and find him that we may attend your menagerie sooner. I was being honest, leading with the appeal to my curiousity was a good move. You errored in giving up too soon.”

Once Luminara refreshed herself, they went in search of Obi-Wan, eventually finding him in one of the smaller libraries. “Oh thank the Force,” he said as soon as he saw them. He set aside the text he was failing to read and leap up. “What adventure are we in search of now?”

“Quinlan has a menagerie in mind. I am curious about the animals but I am certain you two will find the acrobatic acts more to your liking.”

“A menagerie, eh?” Obi-Wan said rubbing at his chin. “Well, my master did say he wanted me to change my habits of study, so perhaps I can find a way to study there.”

“Great, let’s go!”

The menagerie turned out to be everything Quinlan had promised and more. It featured many species the young padawans had never seen, had acrobats skilled enough even Luminara was left to wonder if they weren’t Force sensitive, fools that had all three laughing in their seats, and the food was excellent.

“Ok, you two, admit it. I do have good ideas. And this was one of the best.” Quinlan said, basking in the glow of a great time shared with friends.

“Yes, Quinlan, this was a great idea.” Obi-Wan replied with a glance over his shoulder that convied both amusement and the tolerance of a longtime argument with a friend.

“I would have agreed a moment ago,” Luminara said, holding out her arms to stop both her friends. They each stopped and looked in the direction that held her attention. Down an alley created by tents and animal pens, a group of what seemed street toughs were threatening one of the menagerie workers. A rodian, the worker was dressed in fine enough clothes, it was likely she was part of the management, if not the ringleader herself. “Though perhaps I could say it was fortuitous.”

“Madame, are you in need of some assistance?” Obi-Wan called out, stepping around Luminara’s arm. For her part, Luminara rolled her eyes at her compatriot before lowering her other arm and taking a place at Obi-Wan’s right shoulder, while Quinlan took up the left.

“You youngling’s best move along,” one of the toughs, likely the leader since he was currently holding the worker’s jacket in meaty fists. “This here is grown up talkin’ time.”

“Please, children, run. I will just pay them. There is no need to get involved or harmed.”

Obi-Wan looked to his right at Luminara and then to his left at Quinlan. Both gave small nods and when he looked back to the toughs, all three light their lightsabers in unison. “It’s no trouble, really madame.”

Panicked at suddenly finding and facing three jedi, the toughs drew their blasts and started firing, the leader tossing his victim to the ground to grab his own blaster. The three padawans began deflecting the blasts with the sabers, Luminara easily while Obi-Wan and Quinlan had a more difficult time.

“Kark this,” one of the pair of grans exclaimed, and started backing away to get the room to run. The relative narrow space of the alley was not working in the thugs favor but was, in fact, working towards the jedi’s. The other five thugs, two humans, a dug, and the aforementioned gran, took this as a wise idea and started trying to make their own way back. The large leader, one of the humans, shot at the latch of a nearby animal stall just as one of the blasts Obi-Wan deflected hit another, freeing both gates. A bantha charged out into the confusion, followed by three bordoks. Leaping out of the animals paths, the padawans were distracted enough that the thugs made their escape.

“Go after them,” Quinlan called out, gesturing towards the retreating backs of the thugs, as he ran after the animals. “I’ll get the animals.” He didn’t even wait for an answer, turning his full attention to the bantha since it seemed the most likely to cause the most damage and risk the most lives. For so large an animal, it seemed remarkably fast. Or perhaps it was the fact it didn’t seem to mind the tents it ran over so much. Or the way it would change direction when faced with more stout structures. Quinlan quickly decided he needed the high ground if he were to catch the beast.

Leaping up to a cross rope and spinning to gain momentum, he landed gracefully on the support beam of a large tent and quickly returned to running. Sparing a quick glance for the bordoks, he saw they were following their noses and making for the food vendors. Returning his attention the bantha just in time, he almost ran right over it as it stopped between two tents sniffing the air. Quinlan quickly leap to land on the broad head and the bantha reacted by shaking this way and that to dislodge him. Fortunately, he had a good solid grip with his right hand. Unfortunately, he didn’t have so good a grip with his left and he swung around to dangle between the banth’s horns. Quinlan adjusted his grip, both of them, and then leaned forward to rest his forehead against the bantha’s, calling on the Force to calm the animal and maybe even allow some measure of control.

He did better than he could have hoped, he saw, as the creature turned slowly and walked back towards the stalled. Quinlan flipped around to land on the bantha’s back. From there he looked out for the bordoks and, upon spotting them eating candied apples, reached out to them with the Force as well.

Making his way to the start of all this trouble with his animal parade, Quinlan found Obi-Wan and Luminara with three guardian police droids, who were restraining four of the street toughs. The leader of the toughs was no where to be seen, as was the dug. Two loose ends that Quinlan’s master would say will come back and attack you when you least expected it.

“I cannot thank you youngling masters enough!” The rodian was saying as the bantha Quinlan road was close enough to hear. “I am Mistress Mateabo and this is my menagerie. Those scum were trying to strong arm me to paying ‘insurance’ to prevent any accidents from occurring during my time here. An unfortunate practice that occurs far too often. I would have expecting this in the Outer Rim, but here on Coruscant? Appalling!”

“Yes, quite so,” Obi-Wan was saying. “Did they give you any names?”

“No, no. I am afraid not. But I must offer some means of appreciation! VIP tickets for the three of you? Yes, backstage passes, private tour, everything.”

“Mistress Mateabo, we couldn’t possibly impose,” Luminara said before Quinlan could accept. Panicked, Quinlan’s hold on the animals slipped a little, which made him focus on them once more.

“Ah, no imposition! None at all! In fact, you would be protecting me. The menagerie is here for two more days and, as you saw, two of them escaped! How am I to know they won’t return when I have no one to defend me? You must accept.”

“Well, if we must,” Obi-Wan replied just as Quinlan lost his hold on the bantha again. It shifted and reared a little, knocking him off balance and sending him flying into a stable badly in need to cleaning.

“Druk!” Quinlan said as he picked himself out of the muck.

“Though perhaps we could impose on you for a shower or bath?” Obi-Wan added with a pinched nose.

comments

OOM: Meeting new people and making friends

Quin's wearing pieces of his new armor (the chest piece, upper arms, and thighs) when he meets Ibani in Milliways and opens his door to a cantina of questionable repute. It's not quite a wretched hive, but it's close. He gestures with his chin towards the back, towards the isles of privacy alcoves, which can just be seen through the haze of smoke and other particulates in the air.

comments

Lightsaber notes

Video of a tactical lightsaber which has a lot of elements similar to Quin's Clone Wars lightsaber. I like the split vents on the blade emitter.
A very tactical looking laser that could easily be trumped up to be a lightsaber.

Base hilts from canon: Adjudicator or Firebrand.

Maybe it's something like a dual-phase saber but he can adjust the width of the blade instead of the length? Since he will be more likely to face blasters than another lightsaber, a wider blade would make sense. Something like the how the Cinquedea blade is shaped, but not quite as wide.

And how about a longer "pommel" that is actually composed of cortosis? Could be a nice advantage when suddenly faced with a lightsaber.

The look can also be based on his own design, but perhaps a matt black finish rather than the shiny chrome.

comments

CWDP...sort of

It's been months now since he was rescued by Ibani and things have been going well. They have helped many systems, with food and medical supplies, rescued innocents from labor camps, and even started teaching skills that would allow those from underdeveloped systems to do more than base labor if they so chose. All was going well but a nagging fear sat within Quin's heart.

The kids were learning force skills at a rapid pace as well. Their senses seemed born to the task and they were already accomplishing things he struggled with even after he became a jedi master. But, still, there was a nagging fear within his heart.

Was it right to teach them? Yes it kept them safe but what was he teaching them beyond that? What was their purpose to be with no more jedi? And even if the jedi were still a force within the galaxy, would he have wished to have them trained as he was?

His thoughts a snarl, he sought meditation to calm it. And to seek answers.

comments

[Previously, Quin finds himself in a trap which Ibani rescues him from.]

With the kids all situated in their sleeping quarters, Quin makes his way forward to finally face his wife's reaction to his misadventure. She had been withdrawn when they had met face to face after he got Ibani on her way and, knowing his wife, he had stepped back to allow her to simmer as she needed. He knew he had been reckless and foolish, she just needed the time to find her own way to tell him.

He had been expecting to face her. He had not been expecting to face the holographic form of his once master Tholme as well. Sighing, he stepped forward to face whatever this was.

comments

Quin knew it had to be a trap. An Imperial outpost, nearly fully stocked but with a skeleton crew? Too good be to be true, which was why he was going in alone and in a borrowed cargo shuttle. The raids had been going on for a few months now and were successful enough, they had to have attracted attention. But when the three bounty hunters, Cad Bane among them, and two Inquisitors sprung their trap, Quin became all to aware of just how much attention he had gained.

The good news was that they had sprung their trap too soon and he was able to slip away into the corridors of the deserted outpost. The bad news was that they had managed to damage his only blaster, leaving him weaponless.

"Come out, come out, where ever you are," came the buzzing voice of Cad Bane as Quin tried to think of his options. "We've fought before Jedi. You know how this is going to go down. No need to make this harder than it has to be."

Quin just shook his head. Yes, Bane had gotten the better of him and Obi-Wan in that fight, but things were much different now. Against five, he needed a weapon but what he had was a door; and that could be just as good if he was lucky. Seeking the Force, he reached out for the feeling of Milliways and was rewarded with contact. He stood and darted for the door, drawing fire and force lightning he barely avoided before slamming the door behind him and...

comments

And food for the refugees turned out to be a much more pressing issue than had first been assumed. Thus, Quin and Khaleen left the kids with Tholme and T'raa so that they may fly to procure more, taking Khaleen's ship just in case the Dragon had been reported as involved with the labor camp raid.

Finally alone with Quin, Khaleen turned to him with a smile. "I never got the chance to tell you but I did find some data on that old ship. And couple other things hidden within the datacore." She said reaching for a secured hatch and pulling out two Jedi holocrons.

"Truly?" Quin replied in astonishment. The data he had known she would find—he'd yet to meet a better slicer—but the holocrons were an amazing find. One was badly damaged though, or at lest seemed to be. "Let's see the data from the ship first?"

"Okay. I should warn you though, it seems fragmented." She replied as she plugged in the datacore to the com. As the holo activated, a figure appeared, though the holo was unstable. A male human Jedi looked out from millennia past and began to speak.

At first, the holo's lips moved but no words could be heard; then the audio cut in:

...Dorjis off of Korriban but he's a mess. Drugs and Sorcery muddling his memories....

More than a year of work wasted, a year! Lost the General right at the edge of Republic space... Sith killed the General without interrogating him, left the Padawan ....

...rumors out of Dromund Kaas.....they master both sides of the Force, use them....infiltrated the Empire, how high up do they go?

Then the visual cut out altogether, though the ancient Jedi's voice could still be heard:
....have to know history to understand the Sith.... Hyperspace War's not ancient history to them...we drove them out, murdered their children, they remember that....three hundred years ago we were bogeymen 'Be good, or the Jedi will get you.'

Khaleen and Quin looked at each other at this before turning back to the holo, which had started up again:

Balmorra operation blown....confessed live and very public to our funding them....treaty violation....protests all over Coruscant

...shake up on Nar Shaddaa.....cult gaining power....cure for the Rot?...streets shook like a groundquake, he said. Imps might have found something....

...Sith artifact stolen on Alderaan....imbecile and his padawans are lucky to be alive....

But then the holo froze, though again, the audio continued:
No. NO. I want it on record that I didn't know about that project.... history repeating itself...bloody harvest....war's gone HOT.

The holo cut out then, the audio following it. "I warned you it was fragmented," Khaleen said in a stunned whisper. "But that was...something."

"Yes," Quin replied thoughtfully. He knew there were dark things in the Republic's past, such as attempting to exterminate the Sith (as Ibani had mentioned once before) but this hinted at things worse than any he had read or heard of before. Had the Republic always been corrupted in some way or another? And this mention of training with both sides of the Force was intriguing as well. "Let's see what we have with the holocrons."

Picking up the more damaged of the holocrons, Quin takes a meditative breath and leans back in the chair. "I may be distracted, so keep an eye on the com. We wouldn't want any surprises out here."

Khaleen, in answer, rolled her eyes and said, "Oh please. You know better than that."

Quin offers an apologetic smile, before he reaches for the Force to unlock the holocron...

comments

The Dragon proved to be quite a good purchase. It is fast, comfortable, and with lots of cargo space for Khaleen's shipment. As they flew, Korvas introduced everyone to Hay-Re, the contact for the Patitite who lived with them aboard the ship. The meeting went well, especially once Korvas got a promise from the kids not to hunt for any Patities and to ensure their bogwings did the same. And for his part, Hay-Re promised to give the kids a good word and let the others of his race decide on their own if they wished to play with the kids.

The kids also loved the name of the ship, as did the diminutive Patities; if the appearance of small drawings of dragons about the ship could be any indication. One of the kids (Korvas suspected Korto) even started a drawing of a dragon head above the NavCom. Secretly, Korvas was happy they didn't have the pressure suits within easy access or he would have feared the kids would try and decorate the outside of the ship while they were flying.

Eventually, they came out of hyperspace to the system Khaleen's contact hired her to deliver to and pulled into orbit around the small moon. Something felt off though...

Cutting the power to minimal settings, Korvas said, "Larin, give me a lifescan of the planet."

"What's wrong?" Khaleen said, coming to attention and looking over the scanners herself as Larin reported, "I'm not getting much. Low levels and almost no power."

"I've got a bad feeling about this. Kids, open yourself to the Force but don't reach out." He instructed as he did the same himself. Khaleen for her part ran a more thorough series of scans of the moon, its planet and the surrounding space. "What do you feel?"

"There is life below, but it doesn't feel sentient," Larin replied, just as Korto said, "Something feels...not dangerous but not safe. As if a danger has passed but another might come."

"Kids, you guys are going to stay onboard and fly the ship to the upper atmosphere after you drop your mother and I off moonside. We'll call when we're ready to be picked up. Keep an eye on the scanners. First sign of a ship, you jump to Uncle Tholme okay? I've already programmed the NavCom."

"Don't worry kids," Khaleen said giving Korvas a glare for scaring them, "this is likely nothing. We're just being careful. Korto said the danger was past right?"

comments

"Korvas, my profitable friend!" Villie announces once the holocom connects. It had been a rough few days for Korvas; dodging pursuit with the kids since he hadn't been able to ditch the Wampa's Paw and get a new ride safely. Now he was depending on a Devaronian to help him out of this Rancor's pit of a situation. How desperate did you have to be to depend on a Devaronian for rescue? Of course, the key was to not let Villie know how desperate he was.

"Villie, it has been too long," Korvas answers while the kids kept their eyes on the long range sensors. They had proved to have a keen eye for incoming bounty hunters and so had saved themselves a lot of trouble. "I might be in the market for a new ship. Have anything in stock?"

"Of course! Many wonderful ships! Come in and we'll talk. How are wife and kids?"

"You'll be able to see for yourself. The kids are with me and Khaleen will be meeting up with us in a few hours."

"Uncle Villie can hardly wait," the holo says and Korvas couldn't quite tell if Villie was being sarcastic or not.

comments

He is out turning the compost when he feels a sense of dread shiver through the Force. He drops everything and runs to the house, to the children, fear tight in his belly. It's only thirty meters but it feels like it takes an eternity. Part of him argues the feeling. No alarms were triggered, no sounds of approaching spacecraft or transport were heard. They should be alone. But Quin trusts the Force above all; it has never lied to him.

He skids around one of the storage units to the courtyard before their home and finds himself staring down the barrels of three blasters; the fourth pointed at Larin's head as she kneels before a Trandoshan. Varp, the bounty hunters from Taris had found him. Had he lead them here? Did he do a security sweep of his ship after refueling? Curse him for a fool but either way, it was too late. They were here and had to be dealt with. But where was Korto?

He froze and held his hands out, away from his body. In addition to the Trandoshan, there were two humans and a driod. What was their number on Taris? Was it four or five? Was the fifth holding Korto out of sight?

"You have lead a long hunt Jedi but it is over now. Kneel and make no trouble or the little one pays the price."

Quin stepped forward slowly to position himself closer to the house and his daughter. The fact that this also put him in the middle of the bounty hunters was coincidence, right?

Now that he was closer, he could see Larin clearer and she was scared, though she refused to cry in front of her captures. "Be calm, daughter," He called out, not wanting to give the bounty hunters names if they didn't have them. "All will be well."

"All will be well when we deliver you and get our credits!" the Trandoshan sneered.

comments

Finally at home with the kids

The night he had spent with Khaleen was worth the wait and was over far too soon. She was now on her way to her runs and he had to kids to himself. They had talked of his intentions to teach the ways of the Force in further detail and while his wife was still nervous about it, she understood the wisdom of it.

This morning, after breakfast, he took the kids outside and sat them on a rock near the swamp-like forest of their little planetoid. Korto, his eldest, and Larin, the younger by three years, both were busy feeding their bogwings and so he had to clear his throat to get their attention; though he did wait a few minutes just so he could watch them and just enjoy their innocence.

"Your mother has told of the Empire, correct?"

comments

Out in space near the Auril Sector

Quin entered normal space just outside of the nebula he and Khaleen have been calling home for several years now. The nebula was a perfect hiding spot, in fact many smugglers used it to cover their tracks, but not many knew of the planetoids existing within its range. Halting forward motion and checking the scanners, short and long range, Quin waited most of an hour to be sure he was alone in this corner of the galaxy before he opened a holo-channel to his family, a slow smile spreading across his lips as his wife's holographic form materialized. Varp, he missed her.

comments

Alone aboard the Wampa's Paw, with about a week's time in hyper space, Quinlan finds his thoughts returning to the strange Sith he met within Milliways. He is quite sure she is not playing him. Despite not practicing any force skills, nor even really using the Force, he hasn't gotten so soft as to not be able to read people's motives. That is one thing smugglers and Jedi have alike. He worries about her, though there really isn't much he can do. He also keeps finding the urge to teach her what force skills he can; sure that the ancient Sith can't know how to counter some of the Jedi skills of his age. It would be a way to give her an edge.

And what happens when she teaches those skills to other Sith? The paranoid part of him thinks and he shakes his head. No matter what he does, it will have already happened; she is from the past. A more appropriate worry would be if he still had anything to teach. It had been so long since he had done anything but use the Force to hide himself from officials and his presence within the Force from the Emperor, Vader, and whatever force adepts they employed or play games with his son and daughter while teaching them to hide their gifts and help keep a watch out for the Empire.

Well, he had nothing but time now. Might as well find out.

The first meditation was troublesome. Sitting, he had no patience so he tried a floating meditation. Failing that, he moved on to a moving mediation while he recalibrated the sub-space ion drives of his ship, yet again with no success. Disgusted with himself, he gave up and went to watch the stars streak by; which oddly enough calmed his mind.

As the stars slowed, he realized he was in a meditative state and slowed his breathing. Closing his eyes, he felt the Force like an old friend; wholesome and welcoming. He felt himself rise above the chair and small objects begin to orbit him, his datapad, a holobook his wife had given him to read, a clay dragon his son had made, the string mandala his daughter had woven; all the signs of his life.

The Force took him deeper into its hold, carrying him past his ship. In darkness he floated, confused. A sense of dread filled the void and deep within him the horror of experiencing his parents death awoke.
Emotion, yet peace. Ignorance, yet knowledge.

Lost in the Force vision, Quin clung to the ancient Jedi Code he has made his own. Out in the darkness, there is an asteroid and he is falling towards it. It becomes a space station and there is danger there. Immense, implacable and cold.
Passion, yet serenity. Chaos, yet harmony.

He is in the space station now, though he knows not how. There is a clacking; metallic and merciless. Cold eyes glow in the darkness and a sense of dread, greater than any he has ever felt, fills his heart. He reaches for his lightsaber but it is not there. A frantic grab to his other side and his blaster is missing as well. Droids come and walk right by him as if he did not exist, droids which he knows will murder all within the nearby sector of space, Sith space, and continue beyond; system upon system upon system. Droids which are guarded by Republic forces.
Death, yet the Force.

Gasping, he is back on the bridge of the Wampa's Paw, confused by all he had experienced. Was it real? He had no experience with visions from the Force. It was not one of his talents back when he was a Jedi, so why would he be having one now? Is this something that was going to happen? No, there was no Republic and the ships were wrong for the Rebellion; too new and far too old in design. Ibani's time? That made even less sense. Not for the first, nor last, time he wished he had Master Tholme to talk to. Heck, even Kenobi would be a help.

comments

Jedi code

Quinlan has never really felt comfortable with the Jedi Code of his era but when doing research into the Force, came across an archaic form that suits him much more. That code follows:

Emotion, yet peace.
Ignorance, yet knowledge.
Passion, yet serenity.
Chaos, yet harmony.
Death, yet the Force.

comments

App

My DW Journal: bjornwilde
Email: delmcatee@gmail.com
Chat/Nickname: delmcatee (AIM & GChat)
Character: Quinlan Vos (Star Wars)
Character Journal: the_force_abides

Quinlan Vos is not your typical Jedi. He projects no sense of inner peace. He is rash, impulsive and abrasive. His humor is sarcastic and he shows no restraint in his emotions. He has danced the edge of the Dark Side enough to worry Masters Yoda and Mace Windu, and questioned whether the Jedi Council and the Republic weren't corrupt as the Separatists claimed. He often spoke out about decisions made by the Council and the lack of any real effect the Jedis had to the Galaxy at large. And yet he still believes in the ideals of the Jedi. He just hates the politics they were forced to play. Despite his seeming anti-Jedi persona, he is closely attuned to the Force and does have a strong sense of inner peace. In fact, he is now an instrument of the Force and often will act as its tool though he doesn't understand the purpose of his actions.

Vos has had a complicated life. He was traded to the Jedi temple at an early age despite being a high ranking member of his races elite and trained with Obi-Wan Kenobi when they both were padawans. As a Jedi Knight, he and his Padawan, Aayla Secura, lost their memories when forcibly overdosed on the very drug whose distribution they had been investigating.

Rebuilding his life and some of his memories, he eventually built a spy network within the Separatists during the early years of the Clone Wars, even going so far as to get into the inner circle of Count Dooku. Unfortunately, he became corrupted by the Dark Side and would have stayed in Dooku's service had it not been for his Padawan, now a Jedi Master, whom pulled him back into the Light.

In the later years of the Clone Wars, Vos, like many of the Jedi, acted as a general and lead the clone troopers in many battles, though he was never comfortable with the role or with clones. When Order 66 (the deeply embedded order within all clone troopers to kill any Jedi nearby) was initiated, Quinlan Vos was able to fake his own death with the aid of friends and went into hiding with his wife, Kahleen Hentz (whom he had met years earlier while building his spy network) and their son.

[The following is fully my canon] Since then, he has become a smuggler like his wife. He hides his Jedi nature though he still tries to live by the lessons he has learned. On occasion, he ensures Obi-Wan, and any other Jedi he becomes aware of, stay safe and hidden, drawing the Empire's attention whenever they get to close. He also is attuned enough to the Force now that he follows its guidance and does things which seem pointless, such as saving a certain young smuggle by the name of Han Solo (Star Wars Tales 08).

Quinlan Vos is a pup who likely can get along with just about anyone. He is good for combat OOMs, sneaky plot OOMs, heist OOMs or just fun parties. He is also a nostalgia pup for me which is part of why I want to play him. The other reason is that I want a pup who has a gray morality or at least isn't held back by such silly things as laws.

comments
